NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Endicott women's lacrosse team traveled to Connecticut College on Wednesday evening and were handed a 12-10 loss.

The Camels got on the board first with a goal from Jamie Navoni (Natick, Mass.) just 49 seconds into the first half. 

Endicott responded with a tally from Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.) to even the score at 1-1 two minutes later.

With just under nine minutes remaining in the first half Connecticut College saw its largest lead of the game when Navoni made it 7-3 in favor of the Camels. 

Endicott, however, continued to battle and saw two goals from Lacroix as well as a tally from Alex Fitzgerald (Guilford, Conn.) to narrow the Camels' lead to 8-6 heading into halftime. 

The Gulls found themselves trailing 12-7 as time wound off the clock in the second half but they wouldn't go down without a fight. Endicott attempted a late rally, notching three goals but the Camels were ultimately able to hold on to the 12-10 victory. 

Lacroix led Endicott with six goals, while Navoni had a team-high seven goals for the Camels.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) made 14 saves in net and shifted to 3-1 on the season. 
• Meghan Dutchyshyn (Northborough, Mass.), Gabriella Prisco (West Haven, Conn.), and Olivia Larson (Cheshire, Conn.) each added one goal for the Gulls. 
• Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.), Ali Campbell (Lakeville, Mass.), and Erin McCarthy (Old Lyme, Conn.) all notched one assist during the contest. 
• Prisco also added four ground balls for Endicott. 
• Talia Dellatto (Andover, Mass.) led the defense with three caused turnovers. 

FOR THE FOES

• Megan Mullin (Sudbury, Mass.) improved to 2-2 on the season and recorded seven saves. 
• Clara Bisson (Sudbury, Mass.) notched three goals, while Anna Jorgensen (Ridgewood, N.J.) and Kirby Heffrin (Marblehead, Mass.) each scored once. 
• Jorgensen led the team in assists with three. Bisson added two assists and Navoni and Julia Loesch (Charlotte, N.C.) each had one helper. 
• Jackie Cooney (San Rafael, Calif.) had three caused turnovers and three ground balls. 
• Bisson recorded a team-high eight draw controls. 
• The Camels held a 31-20 shot advantage.

Endicott (3-1) travels to MIT on Friday, March 16 at 6 p.m. Connecticut College (2-2) hosts Williams at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 17.
