Beverly, MA - With seven minutes remaining in the first half, the score board at Gordon's home field read 1-0, advantage to the home team. It was just 2-1 in Gordon's favor when the first thirty minutes came to a close in the CCC conference semi-final between \#3 Endicott and \#2 Gordon.
Endicott freshman goalkeeper, Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH), and Gulls defenders turned away over twenty shots by the opponent. Curry came up with 11 saves playing all 60:00 minutes between the pipes.
The Gulls only senior, captain Katie White (Ridgefield, CT) led all scorers with three goals. Christine Wilmott (Jr/Barre, VT) and Jess Blair (Jr/Middlebury, VT) added EC's two other goals.
Gordon took the 1-0 lead in the first half, and was still up 2-1 entering second half play. Wilmott tied it at two-all one minute into the second and White added another for EC minutes later to give Endicott their first lead of the match. White's next goal put the Gulls ahead by two before Gordon went on a four goal run that put them up by two, 6-4, with seven minutes to play. Gulls junior captain Blair found the net with 5:45 remaining to pull within one, but the Gulls could not manage to get another.
As time ran out, the Gulls were defeated 6-5 by the \#2 seed in the CCC. Gordon will play New England College (\#1) in the CCC Championship on Saturday at NEC.
