Beverly, MA - The Gulls traveled to Wellesley today to play Babson College. Both teams entered the match with records of 4-2. Babson center, Alexa Rad, led all scorers with seven goals and two assists.
The Gulls couldn't come up with a draw control for much of the first half. Babson capitalized on nearly all of their possessions scoring a quick five goals before Endicott got on the board with a free position goal from Christine Wilmott (Jr/Barre, VT). Also scoring for the Gulls were Lindsey O'Connell (Fr/Mansfield, MA), Hannah Watson (Fr/shaftsbury, VT), Jess Blair (Jr/Middlebury, VT), and Katie White (Sr/Ridgefield, CT).
Babson midfielder Rad's nine points was followed by teammate Libby Bryant who tallied four goals and two assists for six points of her own.
EC defender Lauren Gibbons (So/Shaker Heights, OH) held Babson's second leading scorer Sarah Siciliano to just one goal on the day. Defenders Joanna Imse (Jr/Bow, NH), Emily McCarthy (Jr/Portland, ME), Allison Drought (Jr/North Kingston, RI), and Erica Harrington (Jr/Underhill, VT) held Babson's four remaining scorers to just six points.
The Gulls return to action 7:00 pm Tuesday at home against conference foe Colby Sawyer College. They look to improve their conference record to 4-0, 5-3 overall.
