BEVERLY, Mass. – Coming off a 2015-16 season that saw the Endicott women's basketball team make its fifth-straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals appearance, the Gulls look to build upon the recent success of the team.

Head coach Brittany Hutchinson (86-58, 57-33 CCC) is in her sixth year at the helm of a program  that returns a handful of starters and brought in a talented crop of new faces. Here's a preview of the upcoming season, which begins this Tuesday, November 15 on the road at MIT at 7:00 p.m.

RETURNING CAST (ROSTER):  The Gulls' key returners include a 2015-16 CCC Third Teamer in junior forward Hannah Shaw (Bar Harbor, Maine). Shaw appeared in all 29 games and was a key contributor off the bench, scoring 306 points that was second-best on the team and was third overall with 162 rebounds. Senior forward Sarah Hood (Burlington, Conn.) is back for her final campaign and led the team with 71 offensive rebounds a year ago. Other players to watch include juniors  Sam Charette (Wenham, Mass.), Hannah Kiernan (Wenham, Mass.) and Gabriella Coppola (Watertown, Mass.). Coppola started all 29 of the Gulls' game last season at point guard and ranked second on the program's all-time list for assists in a single season with 135.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR (SCHEDULE): The Gulls tip off the 2016-17 campaign wat MIT and will play six non-conference opponents throughtout the year (MIT, Skidmore, Keene St., Bowdoin, Salem St., Brandeis). Endicott begins the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) slate with the home opener set for Wednesday, November 30 at 5:30 p.m. against Curry inside MacDonald Gymnasium. SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, February 18 is the Gulls' final regular season home game (3:00 p.m. vs. Western New England) when the team will recognize seniors Sarah Hood (Burlington, Mass.) and Ilyza Holman (Ashland, Mass.) in the annual Senior Day ceremony.

PRESEASON PLAUDITS (POLL): Endicott was picked to finish fourth in the CCC Preseason Poll after receiving 81 points.

2015-16 YEAR IN REVIEW: The Gulls finished their 2015-16 season with a 17-12 record overall and 13-5 mark in conference play, an appearance in the CCC Semifinals, and a date in the ECAC DIII New England Semifinals.
