2016-17 CCC Women's Basketball Preseason Poll Release | CCC Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – With just over a week remaining before the 2016-17 season gets underway, the Endicott women's basketball team was slated fourth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason coaches' poll as announced today by the conference office.
Endicott received 81 points heading into the 2016-17 season after posting a 17-12 record overall in 2015-16, which included a 13-5 showing in conference games.
University of New England, the four-time defending CCC Champions, was picked to finish first in the poll as the Nor'easters claimed first place votes from all six of the 10 conference head coaches for 91 total points. Roger Williams earned second place with 84 points and one first place vote, while Western New England completed the top three with 82 points and the remaining three first place votes.
Salve Regina ranked No. 5 on the poll with 56 points and Eastern Nazarene checked in at No. 6 with 50 points. Curry was positioned seventh overall (43 points), while Nichols (22 points), Wentworth (21 points) and Gordon (20 points) rounded out the conference voting.
