  • Forty-nine Gulls named CCC Winter-Spring Academic All-Conference

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced today that 299 student-athletes across all winter and spring sports from the 2012-13 academic year have been recognized with Academic All-Confernece honors, including 49 from Endicott's baseball, men's and women's basketball, golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, and men's tennis programs.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released their annual All-Region Teams and Endicott sophomore Sam DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) as well as seniors Colleen Martin (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and Jocelyn Russo (Middletown, Conn.) were named All-New England for their performance on the field this past spring.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Top-seeded Endicott twice came from behind to tie the game, but Roger Williams got three runs in the top of the seventh inning and captured the 2013 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) softball championship with a 6-3 win on Saturday afternoon at Endicott’s softball complex.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Needing a win over #2 Roger Williams to advance into Saturday’s Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship game, the top-seeded Endicott Gulls were countered by a strong pitching performance from Hawks freshman Meghan Maliga (Suffield, Conn.) who struck out eight batters and didn’t give up a hit until the fifth inning. Maliga improved to 13-8 on the season.
  • Endicott powers way to walk-off win over Salve Regina in CCC Tournament

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott scored five of their six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning via the long ball en route to a 9-0 (5 inn.) shutout over Salve Regina in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament. Junior shortstop Kelley Michael’s (Ipswich, Mass.) third homerun of the season, a three-run blast over the left field wall, delivered the walk-off win for the top seed Gulls.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced their annual All-CCC First, Second, and Honorable Mention Teams as well as the five major award winners and Endicott junior Nell O’Connor (Harwich, Mass.) was named this year’s Pitcher of the Year, headlining a talented crop of eight Gulls who were also recognized.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Endicott will be the top seed for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) softball championship, which begins with opening-round games on Saturday, April 27th. The Gulls (18-18 overall) earned the top seed by virtue of their 17-1 conference record.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – In their final two games of the regular season, the Endicott softball team lost twice to the #7 ranked team in the country, Tufts, and will head into the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament as the top seed with an 18-18 (17-1 CCC) record. The Jumbos reached the 30-win plateau and will wrap up their regular season with three straight conference games before heading into the playoffs.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team took a break from their CCC schedule to take on NEWMAC opponent Babson on Tuesday afternoon for a pair of games at the Gulls Softball Complex. The Blue and Green dropped both games as Babson put on a powerful hitting display, stroking four homeruns on the day to improve to 22-9 on the year.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Colleen Martin (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) went 4-for-5 with two home runs, four runs scored, and four runs batted in to help the Endicott College softball team sweep Wentworth Institute of Technology in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action. The Gulls took the first game, 7-1, before completing the sweep with a 14-0 win in game two.

    WELLESLEY, Mass. – Looking to improve upon a six-game win-streak, the Endicott softball team suffered a setback against non-conference opponent Wellesley on Wednesday afternoon after dropping a pair of games to fall to 6-12 overall on the season. The Gulls lost in game 5-1 before getting shutout 8-0 (5 inn.) in game two.

    BEVERLY, Mass. - Due to poor field conditions, Tuesday's home softball doubleheader against #13 Tufts has been postponed, with a reschedule date to be determined for late April. Endicott will be off until Tuesday, April 2nd when they host UAA rival and last year's opponent in the ECAC DIII New England Championship, Brandeis, at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
