WESTFIELD, Mass.-  Alex Walecka (North Dartmouth, Mass.) continues to be the top runner for the men's cross country team as he finished in a time of 30:12.  Mitchell Renfrew (Barkhamsted, Conn.) was able to finish strong as well as he finished with a time of 33:26.

The women's team was once again led by Kim Shepherd (Essex, Conn.) as the senior finished 72nd out of 453 runners on the 6K course.  Shepherd was able to log a time of 24:40.  Erin Haynes continues to impress as the freshman finished 128th with a time of 25:35.  Jocelyn Kane (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Laura Wunsch (Albany, N.Y.) finished 195 and 202 by putting up times of 26:34 and 26:39 respectively.  Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.) rounded out the top five as the senior finished 234th with a time of 27:07.

Both squads return to action as they travel to Springfield, Mass. for the Western New England Invitational on October 13th before heading to the CCC Championships on October 27th.
