No. 10 Endicott Tops Eastern Nazarene & Southern Vermont On Saturday

QUINCY, Mass. – The No. 10 nationally ranked Endicott men's volleyball team earned a pair of wins over conference foes Eastern Nazarene (3-0) and Southern Vermont (3-0) on Saturday afternoon at the Lahue Physical Education Center.

NO. 10 ENDICOTT 3, EASTERN NAZARENE 0 (25-13, 25-10, 25-13)

In match one of the day, Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) paced the Gulls with a match-high 10 kills on 12 swings (.667).

Donovan Dey (Fairport, N.Y.) also chipped in with seven kills (.778), two service aces, and three digs, while Matt Bozek (Exeter, N.H.) had five kills (.625) and two digs.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Doski (Sandy Hook, Conn.) and Devin Racey (Voorheesville, N.Y.) split duties running the offense via 15 assists and 12 assists, respectively.

As a team, the Gulls posted a season-best .581 hitting percentage (41K, 5E, 62 TA).

NO. 10 ENDICOTT 3, SOUTHERN VERMONT 0 (25-8, 25-7, 25-9)

In match two of the afternoon, Matt Cruz (Easton, Conn.) led Endicott via a match-high/career-high eight kills (.778) to go along with one assist, three service aces, one dig, and a block assist.

Bozek also compiled seven kills (.636) and five digs, while Nick Hayes (Salem, N.H.) highlighted the Gulls' trio of setters with a career-high 11 assists.

As a team, Endicott hit .561 on 38 kills, six errors, and 57 total attempts.

  • Endicott is ranked No. 10 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-15 national poll.
  • The Gulls are 3-0 all-time against Eastern Nazarene.
  • Endicott never trailed in its match against Eastern Nazarene (three ties in the first set).
  • The Gulls have won their last six matches, including the last five by 3-0 scores.
  • Endicott is 19-1 all-time against Southern Vermont.
