BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman outside hitter Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player and Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Now a first time NECC Player of the Week honoree, and a two-time Rookie of the Week award winner, Lipton guided Endicott to a 2-0 overall record and 1-0 mark in league play last week behind stellar numbers. Lipton averaged 3.00 kills/per set (15 total), alongside a .379 hitting percentage, one assist, 11 digs (2.20 d/s), four block assists, and a perfect serve-receive percentage (21-for-21).
Against Emmanuel on Wednesday, Lipton notched 10 putaways and eight digs to help the Gulls complete the straight-sets victory over the Saints. Lipton also compiled five kills on eight swings (.625), three digs, and four block assists in Endicott's 3-0 triumph over Eastern Nazarene on Saturday.
