Gulls Notch 3-0 Victory Over Curry

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team welcomed Curry College to Hempstead Stadium on Tuesday evening for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest. The Gulls came out on top, 3-0.

Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) got things started for Endicott when he corralled a long cross from Alex Vuksta (Hudson, Ohio) for his eighth goal of the season.

With time winding down in the first half, E. Couchot once again found the back of the net to give the Gulls a 2-0 lead. He took a long run into the box, got around a defender and sent a hard shot into the center of the net.

Vuksta added Endicott's third goal at the 52:04 mark. Jesse Martinez (Walpole, Mass.) sent a well-placed cross, which Vuksta was able to one-time in on the far post.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Jack Bacon (Lincoln, R.I.) earned the start in net and recorded four saves during the shutout.
  • The Gulls held a 26-5 shot advantage.
  • E. Couchot paced the offense with six shots, while Jamie Becker (Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil) and Slade Vincent (Douglas, Mass.) each had three.
