CCC Men's Soccer Championship - Interactive Bracket
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Endicott men's soccer team will take their 9-9 (4-5 CCC) record into the CCC Tournament as the #6 seed as the Gulls will travel #3 Nichols (11-1-5, 6-1-2 CCC) on Saturday, November 2nd for the quarterfinal round. Start time for the game is scheduled for 1:00 pm and is subject to change.
The Gulls are making their fourth straight CCC playoff appearance, each of which has ended in a first round exit. In the previous two seasons, Endicott hosted their CCC Quarterfinal game but suffered loss to Roger Williams (2011) and Gordon (2012). In 2012, Endicott earned additional postseason play with a bid into the ECAC Division III New England Tournament where they won a quarterfinal match 0-0 (3-2 PK) before falling to Coast Guard in the semifinals.
During their only regular season meeting this fall, Nichols bested Endicott 2-0 behind two unassisted tallies and six saves from their goalkeeper. Endicott is 9-7 all-time versus Nichols with two wins (2011 and 2012) in their last five meetings.
The top seed in the tournament will be the #11 ranked Gordon Fighting Scots who went 17-1 (8-1 CCC) during the regular season. Should Endicott beat Nichols, the Gulls will move on to face the winner of #7 Curry (7-7, 2-4-3 CCC) at #2 Western New England (12-4-3, 6-1-1 CCC) in the CCC Semifinals on Tuesday, November 5th.
