SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The final conference games of the men's soccer regular season came to an end on Wednesday evening and with a 4-2-3 CCC record, the Endicott men's soccer team claimed the #3 seed and will host a quarterfinal match for the second straight season.
The Gulls will host the #6 seed Gordon on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00 am at Endicott Stadium with the winner taking on the winner of #7 Eastern Nazarene at #2 Salve Regina. The Blue and Green defeated Gordon 5-2 in Wenham back on October 3rd behind a five-point match from freshman forward Jordan Daniel who scored twice and assisted on another tally.
Endicott standing as the #3 seed in the CCC Tournament is their highest playoff ranking since the 2005 Gulls men's soccer team went 7-3-1 in conference play during the regular season and reached the semifinals also as the tournament's three-seed.
The top seed in the 2012 CCC Men's Soccer Tournament is Roger Williams who went 8-1 in conference contests this fall. The Hawks take on the #8 seed Curry at 3:30 pm on Saturday in Bristol, Rhode Island. The other quarterfinal match is #5 Western New England at #4 Nichols at 6:00 pm on Saturday.
