BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team will be hosting an EvvGirl Foundation Pink Game on Saturday, April 7 at 1 p.m. when the Gulls take on Western New England. The Gulls are coming together to show support for their teammate, sophomore Elijah Bard (Agawam, Mass.), as the EvvGirl Foundation was created in memory of his sister, Evan. 

EvvGirl Foundation was created by the Bard family after their daughter, Evan, was tragically killed in a car accident by a drunk driver in May of 2013. Evan was a Dean's list student at Curry College, where she was also a member of the competitive cheerleading squad and was studying to become a neonatal intensive care unit nurse. 

The mission of the EvvGirl Foundation is to stop avoidable drunk driving accidents so that other families do not have to endure the same experience as the Bard family. The EvvGirl Foundation also works to support causes that Evan was passionate about including nursing, early childhood education, and cheerleading. EvvGirl's charitable efforts include raising money to install Angel Eye camera systems in NICU's in hospitals. These Angel Eye cameras allow for parents to remotely monitor their babies in the NICU at any time via cell phone or computer. The money raised at Saturday's Pink Game will go towards the purchase of an additional Angel Eye camera at a Boston area hospital.

Prior to Saturday's game, the Endicott men's lacrosse team will wear pink shirts during warmups and there will be a table set up for fans to make contributions and learn more about the EvvGirl Foundation.

Endicott (2-6, 2-0 CCC) travels to Roger Williams for a 4 p.m. contest on Wednesday, April 4.
