BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott football team fell to Salve Regina, 47-34, on a chilly Saturday evening at Hempstead Stadium on Senior Day.

At the conclusion of the game, Endicott seniors Matthew Acierno (Patchogue, N.Y.), Christian Cole (Goshen, N.Y.), Dante Correa (Plainville, Conn.), Allen Gibson (Seymour, Conn.), John Glaser (East Moriches, N.Y.), Mike Hughes (Hanover, Mass.), Deric Maddaleni (Boxford, Mass.), Peyton McGowan (Huntington, N.Y.), Christian Pizzotti (Melrose, Mass.), William Rivera (Orangeburg, N.Y.), Drew Salvo (Danvers, Mass.), Connor Schinderman (Chappaqua, N.Y.), Luis Sosa (Reading, Mass.), Shane Toland (Canton, Conn.), Jake Whan (Richmond, R.I.), and Dan Williams (Southington, Conn.) were all honored for their contributions towards the program and the Endicott community. In regards to this season, the 2018 Senior Class guided the Gulls to a 7-3 overall record – its highest win total since 2013 (8-3, NEFC Champions).

Trailing 31-14 at the half, Endicott brought the game within six points midway through the third quarter via a 10-yard TD catch from Cole at 13:19 and a 94-yard kickoff return touchdown by Gibson at 10:52 to cut into the deficit at 34-28. Gibson's 94-yard kickoff return TD is now the longest play in program history. It surpassed Cam Farnham's 93-yard kickoff on September 7, 2013 and Jay Munroe's 93-yard fumble return TD on September 20, 2003 (both against Framingham State).

The Seahawks responded, however, with a 35-yard field goal at 6:27 (37-28) and a four-yard TD run at 3:34 (44-28) to give themselves enough cushion for the remainder of the game.

Both teams combined for 81 points on 954 yards of total offense (175 rushing yards | 779 passing yards).

FOR ENDICOTT

• Joe Kalosky (Plymouth, Conn.) completed 26 passes on 43 attempts for 357 yards and two touchdowns (three interceptions). He also had three rush attempts for 27 yards.
• Hakim Fleming (Bridgeport, Conn.) punched home two touchdown runs (11-yards, 14:52 of 2nd, 14-7 deficit | 2-yards, 10:55 of 2nd, 21-14 deficit). He finished with 31 yards on nine total attempts.
• Cole compiled a career-high 11 catches for 145 yards and one score.
• Shea McManaway (Lisbon, Conn.) had four catches, which included a seven-yard TD catch at 9:18 of the fourth (44-34 deficit), for 57 yards.
• William Rivera (Orangeburg, N.Y.) registered a career-high 17 tackles (nine solo, eight assisted, 2.0 tackles for a loss). His 17 tackles ranks sixth all-time in a single-game.
• Steven Abbott (Melrose, Mass.) notched 13 tackles (eight solo, five assisted).

FOR SALVE REGINA

• Tyler McGovern (Attleboro, Mass.) was 29-for-44 passing to along with 422 yards and three touchdowns.
• Ronnie Martin (Foxboro, Mass.) had 20 rush attempts for 79 yards and a four-yard TD run (3:34, third, 44-28 lead).
• Danny Hoffman (Trumbull, Conn.) caught a team-high 10 passes for 94 yards. He also had a fumble recovery touchdown at 7:48 of the first quarter to put Salve Regina up 14-0.
• Brendan Nunes (Attleboro, Mass.) hauled in five catches for team-high 138 yards and a game-high two touchdowns (54-yards, 13:14, first, 7-0 | 41-yards, 12:04, 2nd, 21-7 lead).
• Ryan Lawton (Washington Township, N.J.) had five catches for 103 yards.
• John Goode (Rockland, Mass.) paced the Seahawks in tackles with 11 (10 solo, one assisted), two interceptions, and two pass breakups.

Endicott (7-3, 5-1 CCC Football) and Salve Regina (7-3, 5-1 CCC Football) will both now await the announcement of a potential postseason bowl game appearance.
