BEVERLY, Mass. – Trailing by 18 points at halftime, Endicott outscored Western New England, 35-14, in the second half to rally past the Golden Bears, 41-38, on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

With the win, the Gulls snapped Western New England's 25-game conference winning streak and also put themselves in the driver's seat to capture the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) Championship with one game remaining on the schedule against Salve Regina next week (Nov. 10, home, 1 PM).

Endicott's thrilling second half comeback was highlighted by Riley Shanley's (Simsbury, Conn.) seven-yard game-winning touchdown catch with 21-seconds remaining in the contest.

Down 38-34 with 3:17 to play before Shanley's TD, Joe Kalosky (Plymouth, Conn.) orchestrated the Gulls' comeback effort as the junior quarterback completed five passes on 10 attempts for 72 yards, highlighted by his strike to Shanley over the middle.

Shanley also played a big role in the game-winning drive as the sophomore tight end caught three passes – including a 33-yard catch on 4th and 14 over two defenders and the all-important touchdown catch – for a total of 45 yards. The fourth down conversion by Shanley and Kalosky was the only one Endicott recorded all game (1-for-1)

Meanwhile, Shanley jumpstarted Endicott at the start of the second half too via a 20-yard TD catch at 13:38 of the third quarter before the Gulls received touchdowns from Ryan Nelson (Mendon, Mass.), Allen Gibson (Seymour, Conn.), and Christian Cole (Goshen, N.Y.) to help set up the last minute game-winning drive for Endicott.

FOR ENDICOTT

• Nelson notched a five-yard TD reception at 9:53 of the third.
• Gibson recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown at 5:30 of the third to make it a 31-26 deficit at the time.
• Cole hauled in a 58-yard TD pass down the left sideline at 14:08 of the fourth to give Endicott its first lead of the contest at 34-31. Cole also notched Endicott's first score of the game – a 30-yard TD reception at 13:28 of the second – to cut into Western New England's advantage at 17-6.
• Cole finished the contest with eight catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns (all career-highs).
• Kalosky went 27-for-52 for 321 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed the ball eight times for 88 yards.
• Shanley completed his day with eight catches for 106 yards, two scores (all career-highs), and a two-point conversion.
• Steven Abbott (Melrose, Mass.), Gibson, Tom Lorusso (Stony Brook, N.Y.), and Sam Opont (Bridgeport, Conn.) all led the Gulls in tackles with nine each.
• Devin Bower (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) also highlighted Endicott's defense with three tackles (two solo) and two forced fumbles, one of which set up Gibson's fumble recovery touchdown in the third quarter.

FOR WESTERN NEW ENGLAND

• Alec Coleman (Arlington, Mass.) went 22-for-39 passing alongside 241 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed the ball 18 times for 80 yards and three touchdowns.
• Adam Razza (Watertown, Conn.) hauled in four passes for 93 yards and a TD.
• Joshua Salem (Dracut, Mass.) and Kurtis Jolicoeur (Windham, N.H.) both tied for the team-lead in tackles with 10 apiece (both had six solo stops | four assisted).
• Four of Jolicoeur's tackles went for a loss, while he also forced a fumble, and recorded two blocks.
• Bailey Devine-Scott (Wattle Grove, Australia) returned one of Jolicoeur's blocks to the house for an 18-yard score that gave the Golden Bears a 17-0 lead at the time.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Endicott evened up the all-time series with Western New England at 8-8 with today's win.
• The Gulls are 6-2 all-time against the Golden Bears at home.
• In their last five games, Endicott is averaging 49.8 points per game.

Endicott (7-2, 5-0 CCC Football) hosts Salve Regina next Saturday, November 10 at 1 PM on Senior Day. Western New England (7-2, 4-1 CCC Football) welcomes Becker to its campus next Saturday at 1 PM.
