Gregg M. Kaye Named Commissioner of The Commonwealth Coast Conference

DUDLEY, MA - Gregg M. Kaye has been named Commissioner of The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), a 14 member NCAA Division III athletics conference comprised of private institutions throughout New England, including Anna Maria College, Colby-Sawyer College, Curry College, Eastern Nazarene College, Endicott College, Gordon College, New England College, Nichols College, Regis College, Roger Williams University, Salve Regina University, University of New England, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and Western New England College.

"On behalf of all CCC members, I'm pleased to welcome our first fulltime commissioner," said Nichols College President Debra M. Townsley. "Kaye's experience in every facet of operating a collegiate athletics conference and overseeing athletic competition will serve our student-athletes well."

Kaye most recently served as associate commissioner of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) where he played a major role in the oversight of the Conference's 14 sports. Responsibilities included championships, governance, and business operations, as well as administrative duties for sports information, awards, publications, and NCAA compliance. Prior to joining SSC, Kaye was director of media relations for the Columbus Clippers Professional Baseball Team and a graduate administrative assistant for the Department of Recreation and Intramural Sports at Ohio State University.

Kaye is a member of the NCAA Division II Baseball Committee. He has also served on the Computer and Membership Services Committee for the College Sports Information Directors Association. Kaye holds a bachelor's degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and a master's degree from Ohio State University.

"Intercollegiate athletics plays a vital role in the development of our student-athletes as people and citizens," said Kaye. The CCC Commissioner's Office will reside on the Western New England College campus in Springfield, Massachusetts.
