Crew Gears Up for First Race of Spring

Crew Gears Up for First Race of Spring

April 3, 2009

The women's four travels next to Somerville on April 11 to take on Wentworth and Roger Williams in the first race of the spring season for the newly developed New England Collegiate Rowing League. The NECRL is the brainchild of several regional coaches, including Endicott's Brian Chorney, as a way to create competitive platforms for schools with newer programs. By utilizing each other's resources, including shared boats at locations central for all league members, Endicott is able to take advantage of the rich local crew culture in and around Boston. With the Malden, Charles, and Merrimack Rivers all boasting prime racing locations, the NECRL and Endicott College has a great future to look forward to. Upcoming races for both the men and the women include April 19 and May 3, all scheduled to be held at the Blessing on the Bay Boathouse, Somerville, MA.
