McIntyre Receives CCC Player of the Week Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.­- Junior outside hitter Tori McIntyre (San Diego, Calif.) was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week for her stellar play last week (Sept. 7-13).

McIntyre averaged 3.27 kills, 2.00 digs, two double-doubles and a .304 hitting percentage in a 2-3 week for the Gulls. Her best effort on the week came against Scranton as she recorded 18 kills on 40 attempts for a career high .425 hitting percentage (min. 40 attempts).

The junior outside hitter also set a new career high with 18 kills in a single set, which she racked up against both Bowdoin and previously mentioned Scranton. McIntyre has recorded ten or more kills in five consecutive matches, which is now the longest streak in her career.

McIntyre and the Gulls return to action at another regional powerhouse in UMass Boston on Wednesday before traveling down to Hoboken, N.J. to take part in the Stevens Tech Invitational this weekend.
