Women’s Volleyball Claims AVCA Team Academic Award

2015-16 AVCA Team Academic Award List

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic award for its efforts in the classroom during the 2015-16 academic year.

The AVCA Team Academic award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that have displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

In the 2015-16 academic year, the Endicott women's volleyball program produced a 3.36 GPA alongside a 24-10 overall record (6-2 conference). The Gulls also advanced to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament semifinals and captured their first-ever Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championship with a 3-0 win over MCLA.

Endicott's 2016 season begins on Friday, September 2 against Johnson & Wales University and Rhode Island College at the Brandeis Invitational at 4 and 6 PM, respectively.
