Men’s Tennis Competes At ITA Regional Championships

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Endicott men's tennis student-athletes Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.), Eric Pierce (Barrington, R.I.), and Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) all competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships on Friday evening on the campus of Williams College.

In the singles portion of the tournament, Dolph and Pierce both drew 9-16 seeded opponents in their respective first round matches. Dolph fell to Tufts University senior Nik Telkedzhiev (Plovdiv, Bulgaria), 6-1, 6-1, while Pierce lost to Middlebury College senior Palmer Campbell (Nashville, Tenn.) by an identical score.

Dolph and Kirkpatrick went on to represent the Gulls in the doubles format of the tournament but came up just short in the first round against the Colby College pairing of Cameron Hiller (Dallas, Texas) and Shaw Speer (Old Greenwich, Conn.) by an 8-3 score.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (0-1) travels to Springfield College on Monday, September 28 for a non-conference matchup at 3:30 p.m.
