STANDISH, ME -- Endicott College saw its offense come alive Monday as it won its second consecutive game, 4-1, over host Saint Joseph's College.

Kyle Austin (Keene, NH) and Josh Lewis (Groveland, MA) each recorded a goal and an assist to lift the Gulls, who improved to 4-8-0 (3-2-0 CCC) while St. Joe's drops to 3-5-1 overall.

Endicott struck first in opening minutes as Austin gathered a pass from junior Chris Croteau (Groveland, MA) and beat SJC keeper senior Brian White (Colebrook, NH).

The Gulls doubled their lead in the waning minutes of the first half when Austin assisted on a goal by junior Ruben Margolis (Mexico City, Mexico).

Sophomore Shannon DeShield (Pembroke, Bermuda) put St. Joe's on the board at 60:24, scoring on a corner kick cross from freshman Kevin Melega (Easthampton, MA). However, Endicott controlled the remainder of the contest.

Sophomore Elias Carrero (Great Barrington, MA) padded the visitors' advantage on a goal set up by Lewis.

Lewis converted a penalty shot in the 85th minute to put the game out of reach.

Junior Kevin Hageman (Albion, ME) made 13 saves replacing starting goaltender Dave Rosquete (Auburn, ME), who had three saves in less than six minutes in net for SJC.

Endicott sophomore Cameron Twiss (Reading, MA) made four saves and freshman Scott Emmems (Weathersfield, CT) added a save for the Gulls.

St. Joe's takes on Maine-Farmington at home on Friday, October 7th at 3:30 while Endicott travels to New England College for a 4 pm game on Wednesday, October 5th.
