Final Stats

BEVERLY, MA - Freshman Pirapnog Sirikietsoong (Bankok, Thailand) scored off a deflection for the game's only goal, as the Gulls blanked Colby-Sawyer College in a CCC match Saturday at Endicott College.

Sirikietsoong, who was the beneficiary of some good passing by senior Kyle Austin (Keene, NH/Keene) and senior Mariano Pagano (Buenos Aires, Argentina), sent the ball across the box where a Charger deflected it into the net.

Sophomore goaltender Cameron Twiss (Reading, MA/Bishop Fenwick) had four saves to record his second shutout, making Endicott 2-6-0 overall and more importantly 2-2-0 in the CCC. Colby-Sawyer fell to 3-4-0 (2-2-0 CCC).

Endicott controlled the ball most of the first half with a few scoring opportunities but came up short. Austin broke into the box and drew the goaltender to him before dishing the ball to Sirikietsoong, who appeared to have an open net but freshman Eric Capodiece (Hollis, NH/Hollis Brookline) came out of nowhere to close the door with 38:00 minutes remaining in the first half.

Sophomore Elias Carrero (Great Barrington, MA/Monumen Mountain) played a solid game at midfield for Endicott hitting the crossbar from 30 yards out with 33:00 minutes remaining in the first half.

The defense of senior sweeper Daniel Duvernoy (Hamilton, NY/Hamilton Central), right fullback Eric Booth (Belchertown, MA/Belchertown), left fullback Tyler Hardy (Hollis, NH/Hollis-Brookline), and junior stopper Chris Croteau (Groveland, MA/Pentucket Regional) stood tall the entire contest, especially in the last 10 minutes of regulation, when Endicott received a red card and was forced to play shorthanded.

Chargers' goaltender Adam Perron (Hampden, MA/Wilbraham Monson Academy) turned away four shots while sophomore forward Chris Rafferty (Reading, MA/Memorial) played well in the loss.

The Gulls return to action Monday when they host Bridgewater State College at 4 p.m.
