BRISTOL, RI -- Roger Williams has been one of the toughest teams to score on in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Endicott became the Hawks' fifth shutout victim as junior forward Ryan Wohlstrom (Guilford, CT) scored in the 77th minute to guide Roger Williams to a 1-0 victory over the Gulls Saturday at Bayside Field in Bristol.
Junior goaltender Kevin Deegan (Seymour, CT) stopped five shots to post his fifth shutout for the Hawks (5-1-1, 3-0-0 CCC). Gulls' sophomore netminder Cameron Twiss (Reading, MA/Bishop Fenwick) made six saves but could not keep Endicott from falling to 1-5-0 (1-2-0 CCC).
Seniors Daniel Duvernoy (Hamilton, NY/Hamilton Central) and Kyle Austin (Keene, NH/Keene) led Endicott with two shots apiece.
The Gulls host Plymouth State in a non-conference match Wednesday, September 21 at 7:00 p.m.
