10 Gulls Claim NEILA All-Academic Honors

2021 NEILA ALL-ACADEMIC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Ten members of the Endicott men's lacrosse team have earned New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Academic Team accolades, as announced by the organization yesterday.

Represented on the list for the Gulls were Sam Abate (Beverly, Mass.), Sam DesMarais (York, Maine), Calvin Driscoll (Plaistow, N.H.), Andrew Fithian (Marshfield, Mass.), Austin Fournier (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.), John Koebel (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.), James Loughran (Cos Cobb, Conn.), Reed Rezanka (San Diego, Calif.), Nick Sturgess (Hampstead, N.H.), and Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.).

The 10 honorees are the most for Endicott in the past decade, based upon available data. Additionally, the Gulls had the most honorees out of any program in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

Nominees must have senior or graduate student standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be a significant enough student-athlete that he was nominated for at least All-Conference selection.

In total, the NEILA honored a record 271 student-athletes across all three NCAA Divisions to this year's respective NEILA All-Academic Teams.
