Men's Lacrosse Downs Salve Regina, 14-8

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Salve Regina, 14-8, Wednesday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium. 

Narrowly leading, 8-7, with just under eight minutes remaining in the third quarter, the Gulls scored six of the games remaining seven goals to distance themselves from the Seahawks and take the 14-8 victory. 

Leading the way on the Gulls run were Sam DesMarais (York, Maine), and Domenic Russo (Northborough, Mass.) who each buried two goals. 

Meanwhile, Craig Claflin (Natick, Mass.) and Russo led Endicott with a game-high three goals. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Endicott is now 26-0 against Salve Regina. 
  • The Gulls have held their opponents under 10 goals in the last three games.
  • Endicott's defense was stingy forcing 28 Salve turnovers, 13 of each were caused. 
  • The Gulls held Salve Regina under 10 shots in each quarter.

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (6-1), will host Wentworth on Saturday, April 17 at 1 PM.  Salve Regina (2-3) will travel to Nichols on Saturday, April 17 for a 12 PM game.
