Men’s Lacrosse Upends Wentworth, 22-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Wentworth, 22-2, in conference action on Saturday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

Endicott raced out to a 7-0 advantage at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.) and Sam Abate (Beverly, Mass.) fueled the offense as the duo combined for eight goals (four each) in the victory.

The Gulls also saw Dominic Russo (Northborough, Mass.) bury three tallies and nine other student-athletes register at least one goal to extend their winning streak to seven straight games.

Meanwhile, Austin Fournier (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) stopped eight shots and only allowed one goal in cage (30:00 minutes played) to push his record to 7-1 on the year.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott notched a season-high 22 goals in the win.
  • The 20-goal scoring differential in today's contest is a program record for the Gulls in the all-time series against Wentworth.
  • Endicott is 23-3 all-time versus the Leopards (14-1 at home).
