SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior faceoff man Sam Ozycz (Cheshire, Conn.) collected his fifth career CCC Defensive Player of the Week award and freshman attacker Nick Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) took home his first ever Rookie of the Week trophy for their respective efforts in a 16-4 Endicott win over Nichols in the CCC Quarterfinals.
Ozycz won 19-of-22 faceoff attempts and scooped up 14 groundballs, tying his highest faceoff win total in a single game this season. He now has a .642 winning percentage (206-321) with a team-high 123 groundballs.
Pinciaro totaled three points against the Bison on a goal and two assists with two groundballs. Pinciaro now has five goals, seven assists and 12 points in his freshman season.
Endicott travels to Roger Williams on Wednesday, May 2nd for a 4:00 pm game against the Hawks in the CCC Semifinals.
