ECAC GOLFER OF THE MONTH RELEASE (October, 2014)

DANBURY, Conn.-  Following his impressive performance in the month of October, Endicott junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) has been named the Corvias ECAC Men's DIII Golfer of the Month.  Teal led an Endicott team that finished with top 10 finishes in each tournament, including the Southern Maine Invitational title.  Teal himself was the top Endicott finisher in two of the three invitationals as he earned two medalist honors in both.  The team is now off until the spring when they resume their quest for the program's third consecutive CCC title, and second straight NCAA DIII Championship berth.

At the Southern Maine Invitational, Teal combined for a +2, 144 (72-72) to secure a first place finish and help the Gulls to a team crown. The Loudonville, N.Y. native then earned top medalist honor at the NEIGA Championships, posting a +3, 147 (74-73) in the two day event.  For the year, Teal has five top five finishes and has earned three medalist honors on the season.  For his performance at the NEIGA Championships, the junior was also recognized with NEIGA All-New England Division III Team honors.
