Nardone & Kozlowski Sweep CCC Weekly Awards

CCC BASEBALL WEEKLY AWARDS RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott baseball student-athletes Jake Nardone (Wakefield, Mass.) and Michael Kozlowski (Cheshire, Conn.) swept the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, the league office announced earlier today.

Nardone earned Player of the Week honors, while Kozlowski was named the Pitcher of the Week and the Rookie of the Week.

Nardone was a force at the plate leading Endicott to a doubleheader sweep against Wentworth. In the twin bill, on Saturday (April 24), he combined for five hits in six at bats, three of which were home runs, and recorded nine RBI. The sophomore first basemen tied the Gulls' single-game record with two home runs, while his six runs batted in are tied for sixth all-time in a single-game. For the week, he batted .833 with a 2.333 slugging percentage.

Meanwhile, Kozlowski put on a great performance against Wentworth in a convincing win. The rookie pitched seven innings, surrendering just three hits, allowing just one unearned run, while striking out nine.
