BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's cross country freshman Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Shepard finished 24th in a field of more than 180 runners at the Suffolk Invitational last weekend.
She completed the 6K race in 24:57 and was the first Gull to cross the finish line. Shepard was also the fastest non-Division I freshman.
Her time helped Endicott place sixth in the team competition with 22 teams racing.
This is Shepard's third career CCC Rookie of the Week award.
