Cioffi’s play was especially instrumental in a critical 5-4 victory over previously unbeaten Colby-Sawyer. Cioffi’s only two weekly blemishes at the top singles and doubles positions came in a tough loss to Wheaton, which finished spring play ranked \#12 in the nation. Cioffi faced the nation’s 21st-ranked singles player and 11th-ranked doubles tandem in that match. Cioffi also cruised to a pair of victories against Curry College, whom the Gulls defeated 8-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Cioffi and the Gulls return to action on Monday afternoon when Endicott travels to Rhode Island College for a non-conference bout at 3:30 p.m.
