NCAA FIRST ROUND: Endicott Draws Misericordia In First Round Of NCAA Tournament

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team will travel to York, Pa. to play Misericordia in the First Round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday, May 11 at 1 PM.

Endicott (14-5, 8-0 CCC) was one of the 42 teams selected into this year's tournament field, which was announced Sunday night during the NCAA.com Selection Show. The Gulls were one of 31 teams to gain entry to the tournament via conference automatic qualifier.

The top-seeded Gulls earned their third straight conference title after defeating No. 2 seed Roger Williams, 11-10, in Friday's (May 3) CCC Championship game in overtime.

Misericordia (14-5, 7-0 MAC Freedom) also earned its NCAA Tournament berth via automatic qualifier, defeating Delaware Valley, 20-3, in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Championship game.

The winner of the First Round matchup will advance to the Second Round on Sunday, May 12 to play No. 8 York (Pa.), which will also serve as the host for Saturday's First Round game. The Spartans (15-5, 5-1 CAC) were also an automatic qualifier, having won the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship against Salisbury, 13-11.

The Second Round games will be conducted at one of 16 campus sites with the winners advancing to one of four regional sites Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19. Winners of the four regionals will advance to the semifinals and final, which will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 25-26 at Day Field in Ashland, Va. Randolph-Macon College and Richmond Region Tourism will serve as hosts for the championship.
