CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: Endicott Tops Roger Williams, 11-10, In Overtime For CCC Title

BEVERLY, Mass. – The first-seeded Endicott women's lacrosse team captured its third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship with a thrilling 11-10 overtime victory over second-seeded Roger Williams on Friday night at Hempstead Stadium.

The entire game was tightly contested with eight lead changes and seven ties throughout. Neither team was able to find the golden goal in regulation but with just under a minute and a half left in overtime, Julia Lantieri (Glastonbury, Conn.) intercepted a Roger Williams pass in stride and passed the ball up the field to Aleah MacKay (Bedford, N.H.). MacKay then found Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.) to the right of the net, who was able to shoot the ball into the lower part of the goal.

Leading the Gulls offensively were Meghan Dutchyshyn (Cheshire, Conn.), Maya Feigenbaum (West Hartford, Conn.), MacKay, and Healy with two goals each.

Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) recorded 11 saves in goal for the Gulls during the victory.
