The Gulls remain undefeated as they toppled Commonwealth Coast Conference rival University of New England in a 18-9 victory. The Gulls improve their over all record to 5-0, while UNE dropped to 0-4.
It was EC's leading scorer Christine Wilmott who netted the first goal for Endicott only 24 seconds into the game. UNE answered back with two quick goals from Whitney Blais and Megan Trusselle, but it was not enough to hold back the Gulls. Junior attack Cathy Sharp tied the game at the 26:07 mark and Willmott secured the lead at the 25:30 mark. EC lead for the remainder of the game.
Willmott and Sharp shared five goals apiece for the Gulls, while junior Heather Hatfield netted three goals and sophomore Lindsey O'Connell scored two. Senior co-captain Jess Blair, junior Lauren Gibbons, and freshman Alison McCoy also netted goals for the Gulls.
The Gulls defense was lead by seniors Erica Harrington and co-captain Emily McCarthy. Together they combined for seven caused turnovers.
EC will face UMass Dartmouth on Thursday March 31, 2005 at 4pm at Endicott Stadium.
