BEVERLY, Mass. -  The Endicott women's ice hockey team capped off their fall semester schedule with victories over Smith College and the Hockey Town Women's All-Stars to finish their schedule with a 2-3-1 overall record.

Endicott vs Smith

The Endicott Women’s Hockey team traveled to Smith College on Sunday to play the Smith College Pioneers. The Gulls tallied their first win of the season defeating Smith 2-0. Sophomore Addie Weeks (Harwichport, Mass.) scored in the first period for the Gulls off an assist from sophomore Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.). After a scoreless second, the Gulls came out strong in the third and scored again late in the third on a shot from the top of the circles from junior Vanessa Caruccio (Winthrop, Mass.). The goal was assisted by freshmen MacKenzie Hurst (Guilford, N.H.) and senior Hannah Morton (Franklin, Mass.).

Endicott vs Hockey Town Women's All-Stars

The Gulls closed out the first semester of their season winning their second game in two days. They battled the Hockey Town All-Stars to a 3-2 overtime victory Monday night at Salem State University. The scoring began with a tally from senior Kat Walsh (Milton, Mass.), assisted by freshmen MacKenzie Hurst and Sam Parr (Dedham, Mass.). Hockey Town battled back scoring two goals, making it a 2-1 game going into the third period.

The Gulls tied it up midway through the third with a goal by Hurst, off an assist from sophomore Lizetta Solarik (Carmel, N.Y.). Despite a flurry of activity in front of the Hockey Town net at the end of the third, Endicott was unable to score.

However, thirty seconds into overtime, the Gulls found the back of the net after a shot from senior Hannah Morton (Franklin, Mass.) was tipped in by Hurst. The victory moves the Gulls to 2-3-1 on the season. Freshman goalie Taylor Witham (Cumberland, Maine) finished the night with 28 saves.
