Weeks' five-point effort leads Gulls to victory
BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott opened this semester with a strong 7-1 win at Salem State University over the Babson Beavers. The Gulls were led by sophomore Addie Weeks (Harwichport, Mass.) who tallied a hat trick, the first in program history and finished with a five point game.

Weeks opened the scoring midway through the first period off a pass from junior Vanessa Caruccio (Winthrop, Mass.). and later scored the only goal of the second period, unassisted.

The Gulls came out strong in the third, scoring five more times. Freshman Mackenzie Hurst (Guilford, N.H.) scored in the first minute off a pass from Weeks and five minutes later sophomore Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.) scored on a breakaway.

Babson came back one minute later with their only goal of the game. Thirty seconds later Endicott answered with another goal by Weeks, completing her hat trick, with the assist going to senior Hannah Morton (Franklin, Mass.) and Hurst.

With four minutes left in the game, freshman Sam Parr (Dedham, Mass.) notched a goal after a flurry in front of the Babson net, assisted by Hurst and Weeks. And one minute later, senior Katie Joly (East Montpelier, Vt.) tipped in a shot from the top of the circles by Bilafer.

Goalies Taylor Witham (Cumberland, Maine) and Riley O’Neil (Barre, Mass.) each had ten saves for the Gulls.

The Gulls improve to 3-3-1 and travel to UMass Lowell on February 6th to take on the UMass Riverhawks at 8pm.
