The Endicott College Women’s Ice Hockey Team has completed their inaugural season with great forward progress!  After just one year of recreational practice and play in 2009 followed by a 14 game schedule in 2010, the women’s team has developed into a full fledged club sport.  As an official club sport, the team will be able to continue to grow by capitalizing on Athletic Department resources, new recruiting tools, and more options for both practice and game times.  In 2009-10, The young Gulls faced tough opponents in Babson College, UMass Lowell, Harvard Business, Wheaton College and MIT, all programs that have been well established with years of experience.   Despite an overall record 0f 2-10-2, they finished strong with a 2-3-2 stretch that captured points in four of seven games for the young gulls..  The women will carry this momentum into next season with a new recruiting class and a now-veteran core of returning players, with the goal of building a resume that will allow access to an affiliated league program for intercollegiate women’s hockey.
