Gulls will play on as the #3 seed in ECAC Tournament
2011 ECAC Division III New England Women's Basketball Tournament Release

Centerville, Mass. - The Endicott women's basketball team has been selected as the \#3 seed in the upcoming Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament and will face the \#6 seed Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) on Wednesday, March 2nd at 7:00 pm in North Adams, Massachusetts in quarterfinal action.

Despite being the higher seed, Endicott (16-9) must travel to MCLA (17-9) due to the New England Prepatory School Athletic Council Boys Basketball Tournament being held at MacDonald Gymnasium starting on the same evening.

The Gulls suffered a 56-54 loss to Regis in the quarterfinals of the TCCC Tournament, ending their hopes of reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.  MCLA, a member of the Massachusetts Small College Athletic Conference (MASCAC), were ousted from their conference tournament following a 88-73 defeat at the hands of Bridgewater State in the semifinals.

The rest of the ECAC Quarterfinal matchups feature two other schools from the TCCC including the top seeded University of New England who will host the \#8 seed Smith College.  The \#7 seed Regis travels to the \#2 seed University of Southern Maine.
