No. 8 Men’s Volleyball Takes Two From Northern Vermont-Johnson On Senior Day

BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 8 nationally ranked Endicott men's volleyball team swept Northern Vermont-Johnson, 3-0 and 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium. The Gulls took match one by scores of 25-9, 25-9, and 25-13, and match two by scores of 25-14, 25-10, and 25-13.

Prior to today's doubleheader, seniors Gabe Felicetti (Charlestown, R.I.), Justin Kegebein (Liverpool, N.Y.), Erich Roman (Glastonbury, Conn.), and graduate student Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) were all honored for their contributions to the program and the Endicott community.

MATCH ONE: No. 8 Endicott 3, Northern Vermont-Johnson 0

Roman paced Endicott offensively with a match-high 11 kills on 19 swings (.474).

Lipton also added six kills, while Felicetti notched five to highlight the Gulls' attack.

As a team, Endicott compiled a season-high 18 service aces and posted a season-high .547 hitting percentage (34K-5E-53TA).

MATCH TWO: No. 8 Endicott, Northern Vermont-Johnson 0

The Gulls saw 11 student-athletes register at least one kill in the win.

Ian Smith (Elk Grove, Calif.) led the aforementioned group with a match-high six kills, three service aces, and two digs.

Meanwhile, Mason Mallory (Playa del Rey, Calif.), Brady Mullens (Aurora, Colo.), and Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) rounded out the list of individual highlights with four kills apiece.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORES

  • The Gulls improved to 5-1 at home this season.
  • Endicott is 3-0 all-time against Northern Vermont-Johnson.

WHAT'S NEXT

No. 8 Endicott (7-3, 6-0 NECC) is set to play in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament semifinal round on Wednesday, April 7 (opponent/time TBD). Northern Vermont-Johnson sees its 2021 season come to a close at 0-8 overall/0-7 NECC.
