New London, NH - The Colby-Sawyer College men's tennis team won its eighth straight match, and remained unbeaten in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), shutting out the Gulls, 9-0, yesterday. "It has been a struggle for the guys" commented Coach Herlihy, "but they are all improving and gaining valuable minutes and experience."
Coach Herlihy was pleased with first singles player, Brian Goldmeier's performance. "I thought Brian played well. He held his own against one of the premier players in the conference." At first doubles the pair of Joe Dudek and Brian was also competitive, controlling the net and serving well.
The Gulls will host CCC opponent Gordon on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
