Endicott Thwarts Boston University, 55-19, In Home Opener

BEVERLY, Mass. – In their first home match of the 2016 season, the Endicott men's rugby team defeated Boston University, 55-19, on Sunday. The Endicott men's rugby team came into the match looking to rebound from a 31-10 loss to Plymouth State last week and did just that. The Gulls will return to action next Sunday traveling to Johnson & Wales University for a Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) match-up at 3:00 p.m.

"We played an excellent match all around," said Endicott men's rugby head coach Dave Kenkel. "After a good week of practice the team followed through and played to their level."

The Blue and Green were led offensively this week by Brian Sussingham (Yonkers, N.Y.) who was honored as "Man of the Match". Sussingham played a crucial role in the Gulls' success with his offensive and defensive contributions.
