  • Coach and Golfer of the Year Honors Lead Five CCC Honors for Golf

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- For the first time in program history, the Endicott men’s golf team has claimed two major conference awards and placed four total players on the All-Conference teams as was announced by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) on Thursday. Led by junior Austin Teal’s (Loudonville, N.Y.) Player of the Year and head coach Tom Smith’s Coach of the Year awards, the Gulls also saw Teal and Alex Viola (Brunswick, Maine) earn All-CCC First Team honors while freshmen Drew Benshoff (Concord, Mass.) and Dan Negus (Pembroke, Mass.) earned Second Team honors. The Gulls came up just short in their quest to claim their fourth straight CCC title as they fell to Western New England by one stroke in the CCC Championship.
  • Teal Named CCC Golfer of the Week

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Following his medalist honors at the CCC Championships at Beverly Golf and Tennis this past weekend, Endicott's Austin Teal has been named CCC Golfer of the Week. This is the fifth time that Teal has received the honor in the 2014-15 season and is the seventh time overall that an Endicott golfer has been named Golfer of the Week. The Gulls finished second at the CCC Championship, losing to Western New England by one stroke to snap a string of three straight CCC titles.
  • Endicott Comes Up Just Short in Bid for CCC Golf Title

    BEVERLY, Mass.- After holding a two stroke lead heading into the final day of competition at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship, Endicott would fall short, finishing second by one stroke to Western New England. With the win, Western New England claims the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Tournament, breaking up a string of three straight CCC wins by Endicott. The remaining teams will wait to see if any of their individual golfers receive an at-large bid to the Tournament which will be held May 12-15th at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Gulls With Two Stroke Lead After Day One of CCC Championships

    BEVERLY, Mass.- Following the conclusion of play on day one of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golf Championship, three time defending champion Endicott College (303) holds a two stroke lead over Western New England (305), while Nichols (313) and Wentworth (329) are well within striking distance. The four squads will reconvene tomorrow for the second and final round of the championship with the first group set to tee off at 12:00 p.m.
  • Endicott Finishes in Tie for Seventh at JWU Invitational

    CRANSTON, R.I. – Endicott junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) was the best golfer on the 6,495-yard, par-71 Cranston Country Club course as his one-under 70 helped the Gulls to a tie for seventh place out of 21 teams at the Johnson & Wales Wildcat Spring Invitational. Endicott finished in a tie with fellow CCC member Western New England with a two-day total of 634, one stroke behind conference opponent Nichols (633).
  • Gulls Finish Second at Western New England Invitational; Teal Second Overall

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- In their second to last tuneup before the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship, the Endicott golf team took home a second place finish at the Western New England Invitational on the Veterans Golf Course. The Gulls finished with a team score of 313, five strokes off the winning pace, to finish second in the 11 team field. Endicott now travels to Rhode Island on Saturday for day one of the two day Johnson & Wales Invitational at the Cranston Country Club in Cranston, R.I.
  • Teal Named CCC Golfer of the Week For the Third Time in the 2014-15 Season

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Following a week in which he led the Gulls in the Bentley Spring Classic and the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invitational, Endicott junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week. This is the third time Teal has received CCC Golfer of the Week honors in the 2014-15 season, winning twice in the fall, on September 22nd and October 13th.
  • Endicott Finishes Tied for Second at the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invite, Hosted by UMass Dartmouth

    NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.- Led by Austin Teal's (Loudonville, N.Y.) two-round total of 154 (77, 77), the Endicott golf team finished in a tie for second place at the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invite, hosted by Mass. Dartmouth. The Gulls held their ground after an opening round 320 that had them in second place, finishing their second round with a combined 330 to give them a 650 overall. Their score was just nine strokes off the winning score of 641 put forth by Rhode Island College as Teal's fourth place finish led the charge. Endicott returns to action Thursday when they head west to compete in the Western New England Invitational at the Veterans Golf Course in Springfield, Mass.
  • Palazzo's T-9th Finish Leads Gulls at Bentley Spring Classic

    NEWPORT, R.I.- Freshman Ben Palazzo (Farmington, Conn.) fired an 80 on his way to finishing in a tie for ninth out of 45 golfers to lead the Endicott golf team to a fourth place finish in the eight team field. With the competition consisting of four NCAA DII teams, two DI teams and one other DIII squad, the Gulls fired a team score of 335 to finish 31 shots off the lead and ahead of UMass Dartmouth, Providence, Dominican (N.Y.) and St. Anselm. Endicott has a quick turnaround as they return to action Friday at the two day UMass Dartmouth Invitational at the Allendale Country Club in Dartmouth, Mass.
  • Endicott Climbs to Fourth Place Finish at RIC Invitational

    WARWICK, R.I. – In their first event of the spring season leading up the CCC Championship, the Endicott men’s golf team finished fourth out of 17 teams at the Rhode Island College Invitational at the 6,458-yard, par-72 Valley Country Club.
  • MBB: Andre Makris Scores His 1,000th Career Point

    Senior forward Andre Makris became the 12th Endicott men's basketball player to reach the 1,000 career point milestone. Makris scored 12 points in a blowout win over Roger Williams and sealed the win with free throws, the first of which was his 1,000th point.
  • Austin Teal Named Corvias ECAC Men's DIII Golfer of the Month

    DANBURY, Conn.- Following his impressive performance in the month of October, Endicott junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) has been named the Corvias ECAC Men's DIII Golfer of the Month. Teal led an Endicott team that finished with top 10 finishes in each tournament, including the Southern Maine Invitational title. Teal himself was the top Endicott finisher in two of the three invitationals as he earned two medalist honors in both. The team is now off until the spring when they resume their quest for the program's third consecutive CCC title, and second straight NCAA DIII Championship berth.
  • Austin Teal Named CCC Golfer of the Week Following Medalist Honors at NEIGA Championship

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- For the third time this fall season, Endicott junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week, this time for his play at the NEIGA Championship. At the NEIGA Championship at The Captains Course in Brewster, Mass., Teal recorded his third medalist honor of the fall, finishing the two day event with a +3, 147 (74-73) to edge the nearest competition in the 107 golfer field by two strokes.
  • Teal Earns DIII Medalist Honors at NEIGA Championship; Gulls Finish 7th of 22 DIII Teams

    BREWSTER, Mass.- Competing in the 80th annual two day NEIGA Championships, Endicott finished 7th out of 22 teams while junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) earned medalist honors, his third medalist honor of the fall season. The Gulls finished with a two round total of 645 (+39) after competing on the Port Course 1 and the Starboard Course 2 at the Captains Course in Brewster, Mass. This now wraps up the fall season for Endicott, a team that has won three invitationals this fall and earning medalist honors four times.
  • Palazzo and Teal Take Home Weekly Honors After Strong Week

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Following a week in which the team won their third tournament of the year and then placed in a tie for fifth at the ECAC New England DIII Championships, freshman Ben Palazzo (Farmington, Conn.) and Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) garnered weekly honors for their play. The team is now off for two weeks as they ready for the NEIGA Championships to be held at The Captains Course in Bernardston, Maine from the 25th to the 27th.
  • Palazzo Leads the Way as Endicott Finishes Tied for 5th at ECAC New England DIII Championships

    BERNARDSTON, Mass.- Behind a seventh place individual finish from freshman Ben Palazzo (Farmington, Conn.), the Endicott golf team finished the 2014 ECAC New England DIII Championships in a tie for 5th place out of 22 schools. The Gulls recorded a team score of 657 (325, 337) for the two day event, and finished behind Trinity (622), WIlliams (635), UMass Dartmouth (648) and Middlebury (651). Endicott is now off for two weeks as they prepare for the NEIGA Championships, a three day event, held at The Captains Course in Brewster, Mass.
  • Teal's Eagle on 18 Earns Medalist Honors; Helps Gulls Make it Three in a Row at USM Fall Classic

    GORHAM, Maine- For the third straight competition, the Endicott men's golf team took home first place honors, this time at the USM Fall Classic held at the par 71 Gorham Country Club. Endicott went wire to wire in their second straight tournament on this course as they led the nine team field after day one by three strokes and finished with the same margin of victory after day two. The Gulls finished the two day event with a score of 598, besting host Southern Maine by three stokes while junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) earned medalist honors in dramatic fashion.
  • Golf Sweeps Weekly Awards; Viola and Palazzo Recognized

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released their weekly awards Monday morning and two members of the golf team were recognized. Junior Alex Viola (Brunswick, Maine) earned his second Golfer of the Week accolade while freshman Ben Palazzo (Farmington, Conn.) was named Rookie of the Week for the first time in his career.

    GORHAM, Maine – After day one of the University of Southern Maine Fall Classic at Gorham Country Club, the Endicott men’s golf team sits in first place among nine regional teams with a team score of 299, three strokes ahead of the host Huskies.
  • Viola's 70 Sparks Gulls to Victory at UNE Invitational

    KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine- The Endicott men’s golf team claimed their second consecutive first place finish on Tuesday, winning the UNE Invitational at the Cape Arundel Golf Club. The Gulls finished first out of six teams, topping the nearest institution by eight strokes on their way to shooting a 292 on the par 69 course. With the win, the Gulls now have finished in the top two in four of the six tournaments this fall.
  • Teal and Benshoff Sweep Weekly CCC Golf Honors

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The office of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its Players of the Week on Monday, and following a first place finish at the CCC Championship Qualifier, Endicott swept the golf honors. Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) and Drew Benshoff (Concord, Mass.) received Golfer of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors respectively as they led the Gulls to a first place finish and with it, a berth in the CCC Championship to be held in the spring.
  • Endicott Claims CCC Championship Qualifier; Set to Host CCC Championship in Spring

    OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine- Endicott claimed the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship Qualifier by 14 strokes on Thursday at the Dunegrass Golf Club after recording a team score of 308. The Gulls were led by medalist winner Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) who shot a +1, 73 on the day on the par 72 course. With the win, Endicott will now play host to the CCC Championship to be played in the spring.
  • Endicott Finishes in 17th Place Following Second Day Surge

    MIDDLEBURY, Vt.- After sitting in a tie for 20th on day one of the 31st Duke Nelson Invitational at the Ralph Myre Golf Course, Endicott saw all of their golfers improve their scores on day two to finish in 17th place out of 25 teams. The Invitational, annually one of the most difficult in the New England region, was one by Resnsselaer Tech. with a combined team score of 605, while the Gulls recorded a team score of 653.
  • GOLF: Viola and Benshoff Receive CCC Honors Following 2nd Place Showing

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The office of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced on Tuesday that Endicott golfers Alex Viola (Brunswick, Maine) and Drew Benshoff (Concord, Mass.) have been named the CCC Golfer and Rookie of the Week respectively. The awards come on the heels of a second place finish for the Gulls at the Bowdoin Invitational at the Brunswick Golf Club over the weekend, a par 72 6,601 yard course. The Gulls recorded a second-place team score of 606, just five strokes back of the winning score posted by Middlebury.
  • Gulls Finish Tied for Second at Bowdoin Invitational; Led by Viola and Teal

    BRUNSWICK, Maine- Competing in their first event of the season following their historic 2013 run, the Endicott golf team got the 2014 season off to a quick start by tying for second place overall, just three strokes off of the winning score. The Gulls finished with a score of 606, tying them with NCAA Division I Providence, and just three strokes back of NESCAC powerhouse Middlebury. Endicott now has a week of practice before heading to Vermont to compete in the Middlebury Invitational at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.
