2014-15 ECAC Division III New England All-Stars

DANBURY, Conn. – CCC Co-Player of the Year and D3Hoops.com All-Northeast Third Team guard Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) can now add ECAC Division III New England Third Team honors to his postseason accolades as it was announced today. The ECAC All-Star Teams are voted upon by the head coaches within the ECAC Division III New England men's basketball membership.

In his sophomore season, Walker set new career-highs by averaging 17.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.0 steal per game as he led Endicott to a 23-6 (16-2 CCC) record, a CCC Championship, and a berth into the NCAA Tournament. Walker ranked fourth in the conference in scoring as he knocked down 46.8% of his shots from the floor, 47.4% from three-point range, and 77.3% at the free throw line. His average from behind the three-point line was tops in the CCC.

Walker was named CCC Player of the Week three times in 2014-15 including the final award of the regular season in a week that saw the Gulls earned the #2 seed going into the conference tournament while eclipsing the 20-win plateau for the year. He also won conference player of the week honors after his three-game stretch during the CCC Tournament that generated a 24.3 points per game average and the program's sixth CCC title since 1999-00. Walker was also named ECAC Division III New England Co-Player of the Week for his efforts heading into NCAA postseason play.

In just two seasons, Walker has amassed 786 points, 199 rebounds, 138 assists, 61 steals, and 11 blocks. Despite the loss of a four-man senior class, Walker is among several returning starters and impact players that will have their sights set on a return to CCC Championship glory and the NCAA Tournament in 2015-16 under second-year head coach Kevin Bettencourt.
