Equestrian Competes At Dartmouth Show

ETNA, N.H. – The Endicott equestrian team wrapped up its fall season at the Dartmouth Show last weekend. Here's a rundown of how the team performed. 

DARTMOUTH SHOW

  • McKenzie Paiva (Mansfield, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts with a first place showing in intermediate fences. Teammate Meredith Bemus (Wilton, Conn.) also rode intermediate fences and finished sixth overall.
  • In novice flat, Bemus ranked second overall, while Tracy Crosby (Norfolk, Mass.) was third and Emily Teel (Somers, Conn.) and Ashley Braffett (New York City, N.Y.) were both fourth (different classes).
  • Meanwhile, Teel placed third in novice fences ahead of Crosby (fourth) and Kathleen Bolduc (Peabody, Mass.) who was fifth.
  • Abbigale Gerrish (Greenland, N.H.) was fourth in open flat and fifth in open fences.
  • In intermediate flat, Paiva finished fifth overall.
  • Tessa LeBlanc (Harwich, Mass.) ranked third in beginner walk trot canter, while Brianna Gallagher (Plymouth, Mass.) was sixth in walk trot and Amber Vuilleumier (Clinton, Conn.) came in sixth in advanced walk trot canter.

"This was a tough show for us, but I could not be prouder of our very young team," said Endicott equestrian head coach Bethany Jones. "They have worked hard and really have come together as a team. We look forward to our home show in the spring and continuing to work hard in the offseason." 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott returns to action on Saturday, March 3 at Bowdoin and Sunday, March 4 in its home show at Spring Tide Farms (Boxford, Mass.).
