Equestrian Competes At UNH & Colby-Sawyer

BEVERLY, Mass. – Last weekend, the Endicott equestrian team finished third overall at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Show and fourth overall at the Colby-Sawyer Show. Here's a rundown of how the team fared at both shows. 

UNH SHOW

  • Abbigale Gerrish (Greenland, N.H.) ranked first overall in open flat and sixth in open fences.
  • Kathleen Bolduc (Peabody, Mass.) placed first in novice fences.
  • McKenzie Paiva (Mansfield, Mass.) was second in intermediate flat and fifth in intermediate fences.
  • Tracy Crosby (Norfolk, Mass.) and Emily Teel (Somers, Conn.) both finished third in novice flat (two separate classes), while Bolduc was fifth and Ashley Braffett (New York City, N.Y.) came in sixth.
  • Annabella Silva (North Truro, Mass.) placed second in advanced walk trot canter.
  • Amber Vuilleumier (Clinton, Conn.) checked in at third overall in beginner walk trot canter, while Amy Couture (Morris, Conn.) was second and Tessa LeBlanc (Harwich, Mass.) was fifth.
  • Vuilleumier's third place finish in beginner walk trot canter moved her up to compete in advanced walk trot canter.
  • Brianna Gallagher (Plymouth, Mass.) came in third in walk trot. 

COLBY-SAWYER

  • Silva highlighted the Gulls with a first place finish in advanced walk trot canter. Meanwhile, Vuilleumier was fifth in the event.
  • Gerrish ranked second in open fences, while Teel placed in a similar position in novice flat.
  • Braffett posted a third place finish in cross rails.
  • Paiva came in fourth in intermediate flat, while Bemus, Gallagher, and Teel were fifth in intermediate fences, novice fences, and walk trot, respectively.

"The team had another weekend of great performances and we can't wait for next weekend at Dartmouth," said Teel. 

"What a great doubleheader weekend! UNH changed the program to bigger over fences classes and our riders pinned in every class. I couldn't be more proud of the Endicott equestrian team," said Endicott equestrian head coach Bethany Jones. "They worked hard individually and wholeheartedly as a great team. I'm extremely proud as a coach. I am looking forward to our last fall season show at Dartmouth next weekend. Go Gulls!" 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott will compete in the Dartmouth Show on Saturday, November 4 in Etna, N.H. at Morton Farm (Dartmouth Riding Center).
