Equestrian Places Fourth At Dartmouth Show

ETNA, N.H. – The Endicott equestrian team placed fourth overall at the Dartmouth Show on Sunday behind four separate individual first place performances. 

McKenzie Paiva (Mansfield, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts over the weekend with a first place finish and regionals qualifying performance in novice fences. Kathleen Bolduc (Peabody, Mass.) also ranked first in novice fences in a different class, while Emily Teel (Somers, Conn.) came in third overall. 

Meanwhile, in advanced walk trot canter, Annabella Silva (North Truro, Mass.) came in first overall, while Amber Vuilleumier (Clinton, Conn.) rounded out the list of first place finishers in beginner walk trot canter. Teammates Amy Couture (Morris, Conn.) and Tessa LeBlanc (Harwich, Mass.) ranked second and third, respectively, in beginner walk trot canter as well.

"Our young team is coming together very well this season with strong performances from many of our freshman as well as solid rides from our upperclassmen," said Endicott equestrian head coach Bethany Jones. "I am very happy with everyone's performances this weekend and we are looking forward to stepping it up next weekend at UNH and Colby-Sawyer." 

OTHER SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

  • Abbigale Gerrish (Greenland, N.H.) was third in open flat and fifth in open fences.
  • Meredith Bemus (Wilton, Conn.) came in third in intermediate fences, while Paiva finished fifth in intermediate flat.
  • Bemus also ranked fifth in novice flat, while Bolduc was third, Tracy Crosby (Norfolk, Mass.) came in fourth and Teel ranked sixth.
  • Brianna Gallagher (Plymouth, Mass.) concluded the list of highlights with a fifth place finish in walk trot.

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott will compete at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) show on Saturday, October 28 and the Colby-Sawyer show on Sunday, October 29.
