BOXFORD, MA - The Endicott College equestrian team finished third out of 10 competing schools over the weekend, as the Gulls posted a team-score of 26, narrowly behind Tufts University (Second Place) and winner Stonehill College (34 points) on Sunday.
Endicott's Chelsea Conant (Richmond, VT) took her Intermediate Flat class while also finishing fourth in Intermediate Fences for the Gulls. Leigh Fitzgerald also rode to a first place finish for the Blue and Green, as she finished atop Novice Flats.
A pair of freshmen Walk-Trot riders posted strong finishes for the Gulls, as Kim Davis and Stephanie Carlisle finished first and third, respectively. Classmate Christine Hevey took second place in the Walk-Trot-Canter Beginner Division and Emilie Cram took Third in Open fences.
Also riding to Third place finishes for Endicott was Kate Selig (Groveland, MA), who competed in Novice fences; and Allegra Wilson in Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter.
The Third Place team finish marks the end of the fall season for the Gulls as the Blue and Green end on a strong note, posting one of their best team performances of the season. Endicott will return to action in mid-March, when they will compete in the spring session of its season.
