Endicott Club Hockey Routs Holy Cross, 8-1
HAMILTON, Mass. – A day after seeing their six game winning streak snapped, the Endicott club hockey team returned to the ice and were 8-1 victors over the Crusaders of Holy Cross. The Gulls pushed their record to 8-4 on the year and are currently ranked 8th in the region by the American College Hockey Association (ACHA).

Senior Matt Zimmerman (South Glastonbury, Conn.) had four assists as Endicott jumped out to a 6-1 lead after two periods on Saturday night, with six different goal scorers finding the back of the net.

Endicott junior Will Lomas (Weston, Conn.) scored the only goal of the first period with just over twelve minutes gone. The Gulls then went on an offensive explosion, netting four times in the first eight minutes of the second stanza. Cameron MacLeod (Hampton Falls, N.H.),

James Robinson (Fairfield, Conn.), Chris Murphy (Holden, Mass.), and Adam Rayho (Succasunna, N.J.) each got onto the score sheet.

Tad Gold (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) had two assists and then added a goal in the third period. Murphy, a freshman, also had an assist and sealed the game with a late tally, his second of the game.

Blaine Thibodeau (Peabody, Mass.) made 24 stops in net, allowing just one goal, to pick up the victory.

Prior to an 8-4 loss at Bryant on Friday night, the Gulls had won six straight games, capping their streak with a 3-2 victory over Central Connecticut on October 29th and a 6-3 win over Merrimack a day later. Cameron MacLeod scored a hat trick against Merrimack, while senior Rob DiNicola (Wolcott, Conn.) added two more tallies. Senior Gregory Szkop (New Britain, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal with under three minutes to go in the third period to defeat Central Connecticut.
