BEVERLY, Mass. – The final Northeast Region rankings have
come out for the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and
the Endicott Gulls have earned the #10 seed and a spot in the ACHA
Northeast Regional tournament.
Endicott will play the third seeded Siena Saints on Saturday,
February 25th at Patriot Rink in Danbury, Connecticut.
The Gulls last faced the Saints in September of 2007, falling by a
2-1 score.
This is Endicott's first trip to the ACHA Regionals since 2007,
and just their second in school history. If the Gulls beat Siena,
they will advance to the semi-finals of the single-elimination
tournament, playing on Sunday at 5:30 against the highest remaining
seed.
Tickets to each game are $7 for adults and $3 dollars for students
and children.
Joining Endicott and Siena at Patriot Rink are #4 Boston College,
who will play the ninth seed Marist. Liberty Rink in Danbury will
be the site of the two other first round games, which will feature
#5 New Hampshire vs. #8 NYU and the sixth seeded Bryant Bulldogs
against #7 Central Connecticut State University.
The top two seeds, William Patterson and Northeastern, have earned
automatic bids to the ACHA National Championship. The two teams
that emerge from Sunday's semifinal rounds will join them in
Florida on March 16th-20th.
