POST CENTER ADDITION DESIGN PLANS VIA ADOBE SPARK
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College Director of Athletics Brian Wylie has announced plans to upgrade the Post Center Facility through an addition to the current building that will enhance the overall student-athlete experience, improve opportunities for the School of Sport Science and Fitness Studies, and modernize the MacDonald Gymnasium.
The addition to the Post Center will feature a new weight room facility, increased offices and a meeting space that will be shared with the School of Sport Science and Fitness Studies, as well as a lounge for students to study and socialize before classes.
"When the Richard and Helen Post Center first opened in the fall of 1999, it was hard to envision that we would ever be in a positon where we would outgrow the massive space. However, with the growth of the College's enrollment and the success and additions of athletic programs over the years, we find that this new space will satisfy so many critical areas for student-athlete development," said Wylie. "The strength and conditioning component and its evolution over the years makes this new space all the more necessary. Additionally, this renovation will greatly improve and modernize the interior look of the MacDonald Gymnasium. It's exciting that the entire Endicott Community will benefit from this expansion and I thank the vision of our president and trustees for not only providing their support but also seeing the value in this project."
Endicott Associate Head Athletic Trainer James Daley also weighed in on the addition to the Post Center.
"The new addition to the Post Center will not only further enhance the opportunities for our student-athletes to develop under the direction of our strength and conditioning staff, but it will also create additional space for the students and faculty of the School of Sport Science and Fitness Studies to continue to advance their educational outcomes," said Daley.
The addition to the Post Center is currently planned to be completed in mid-October of 2017. Further details will be released throughout the completion of the project, and plans to the addition are subject to change at any time.
